At the end of 2004 the FARA board sought approval from the membership to institute a Service Award for members who have faithfully served both FARA and the community for periods equal to or in excess of 20, 15, and 10 years respectively. There are still many current members who have continuously been members of FARA for as long as 40 to 50 years.
