John Ferguson, N1IPT, SK

ST. CATHARINES, ONTARIO, CANADA – John H. Ferguson, 61, of Buzzards Bay, MA, died September 4, 2007 after injuries he sustained in an accident. He leaves his beloved wife of 37 years, Anne Blanchfield Ferguson. He was the son of the late John H. and Muriel R. (Eagles) Ferguson.

He was a Canadian born and bred. He grew up in St. Catharines, Ontario but made his home as a wash ashore on Cape Cod for almost 30 years.

John graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering. John was a Professional Engineer for R.S. Means, a division of Reed Construction Data in Kingston where he worked for 12 years. He was very active in the Professional Engineering Society of Massachusetts at both the state & local level. He was past president of the Massachusetts Society for Professional Engineers.

John, N1IPT was a member and president of FARA in 1994 and 95. He was quite an active participant in club activities, a VE, and very active in elmering youngsters into ham radio.
