Al Aho, SK

Former FARA member Al Aho (W1AHO) passed away on June 8, 2007 at the age of 95. Al had not been a member of FARA for many years and his license had lapsed early this year, but for many more years he was not only a member but a past officer of FARA. Al (then WA1ORP) was VP from 1979 to 1980 and became President in 1981, holding office through 1982. After moving to Florida, Al made a couple of surprise visits to FARA meetings whenever he visited the Cape.
