This was Norm’s tenth year as a member of FARA. Anyone who hung around the K1RK Repeater for the morning show knew him because he was usually there. Norm was also an old-time radio operator and his favorite mode was CW on the HF bands. I wish we had a better take on Norm’s background but one thing we know for sure was he usually visited the FARA Field Day site whenever he was able. He never operated but he certainly enjoyed eyeballing all the FARA members he new from the repeater.
