A directed (formal) net that meets weekly, Monday at 8:30 PM local time, on the FARA 2m repeater, 146.655 MHz (- 600 KHz offset), 88.5 Hz PL (sometimes). All check in's welcome through net control, please. Net control is Ben, K2LYE.

The Thursday Night Operating Activity

We use to run this on a weekly basis and it was aimed at getting people on the air using different (other than 2m FM) modes of operation. Sometimes it was tied in with hacker projects (e.g. digital modes) and sometimes it was just aimed at operating on HF. The idea was we'd meet on the repeater and then decide where to QSY using a different mode. As with most activities like this it takes volunteers who want to lead the effort and, unfortunately, volunteers don't always have time or maintain their interest. Such was the case with this net.
