FARA
Activities |
| FARA has a wide range of activities to serve many interests in the organization.
Whether you like getting involved with public service
events and emergency management communications, regular
nets, building radio hardware, hacking about with
computers, hidden transmitter hunts, the ARRL annual Field Day, or being
an Elmer, there's an activity in FARA just for you. If you share some other
interests with members of FARA, we can start a new activity tailored just
for you! But, you've got to volunteer to participate to make it happen. Try your hand at operating in one of our fun Operating Events. Don't have HF equpment? Talk to any of the officers or directors and we'll buddy you up with some one who does have HF gear and help you get started using their equipment in their shack. Bob Courtemanche, N1WAT, runs the buddy program and has a list of members who have volunteered to "buddy-up" with you. Our first event for 2006 will be to try your hand at DX contesting. |
