A big thank you to all who helped put Nobska Lighthouse on the air for the second time during the International Lighthouse Weekend as W1NOB,  specifically for use during lighthouse events. The view from the "shack" was incredible with a very foggy view of Martha's Vineyard and the junction of Nantucket and Vineyard Sounds at the entrance to Woods Hole was often not visible at all this weekend. Oh well, you can't have it perfect all the time - "Don't like the weather on Cape Cod - wait a minute - it will change".

Special thanks to the Barnstable County Sheriff and Deputy Sheriff, Ralph (N1YHS) and his assistant Rick, N1YHR who let us use the County's Emergency Communications Center as our operating position. It's a really posh accommodation, Ralph, and the air conditioning didn't hurt either as the rest of the Cape sweated in our record breaking humidity. It wasn't exceptionally hot but the 100% humidity made it extremely uncomfortable outside.

We extend a special thanks to Captain Judith Keene and Coast Guard Group Woods Hole who let us use the magnificent site overlooking the water. We also extend special thanks to the Woods Hole Flotilla of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and FARA members, Director John Gould, WX1K and his XYL Lyn, N1LYN, both of whom are also members of the CG Auxiliary in the Woods Hole Flotilla.

W1NOB QSL cards for ILH 2003 are in stock and we will mail them out in batches as we receive incoming cards. U.S. contacts please remember to include a SASE if you are sending a QSL card. Foreign contacts use IRC's or we will QSL via the Bureau. QSL's via the bureau will of course be returned the same way. We do respond to EQSL's but it's a rather generic card. If you are using EQSL's, please notify us by email that you have sent one becasue we do not normally check EQSL on a regular basis.
